I drove 3,500 miles on vacation in the last three weeks and used my Garmin almost all of the time. I just bought one because I needed to improve my driving experience. Do you feel the same way? 1. I bought the Garmin because it is a small device with wide easy-to-see display, the voice directions are clear, the device automatically re-adjusts directions if wrong turn is taken, and it is easy to use device no instructions needed.
2. I don’t think they can get it much better than this. Really happy with this device. It is so accurate, it can tell if I pull into my neighbors driveway instead of my own.
3. “Lane Assist”: After some highway driving, it turns out that the full-screen 3D Lane Assist Junction View shows up automatically before potentially tricky highway junctions. Very nice.
4. The POI seem to be pretty good, but I really haven’t used it long enough to evaluate POI depth. I do know that the maps seem to be fairly accurate in terms of new roads since I have yet to find a road that does not exist on the map.
5. I’m still really happy with my purchase and it will be endlessly useful navigating in more urban environments. It recalculates routes quickly. It also tells you on what side a turn or ramp is, which is wonderful.
6. The unit is solid. The unit has a certain heft to it, and it’s covered in a soft, rubbery coating. I’ve also dropped it already (because I’m an idiot) — still working beautifully.
If you need to improve my outdoor navigator skills, these are the units for you. These Garmin Nuvi Navigation units are reliable units that make you feel incredible on the road. It is loaded with so many features that I am learning about each day. The greatest benefits to me is having a gps that is easy to use. Overall I think that it is a fantastic new tool.
